About Inura De Silva
Inura De Silva is a young Sri Lankan author from St. Thomas’ Catholic International College, Seeduwa. Having published his first book when he was just twelve, he continues to write with passion and purpose.
Inura lives in Kotugoda (Ja-Ela) and was born on January 1st, 2009. Over the years, he has carefully balanced his schoolwork with his love for writing and creating new worlds.
He published his debut novel, Blackjacket and the Sword of Avion, in September 2021 at twelve years old. The fantasy story showed his creative imagination and his deep commitment to writing early on.
In September 2025, at age sixteen, he published his second novel, Benny. Now seventeen, having recently finished his Cambridge A/Ls and getting ready for university, Inura continues his journey toward becoming a world-renowned writer.
As an only child, Inura has a big imagination and big goals for the future. When he isn’t writing, he is usually reading, thinking up new ideas, or—as always—patiently hoping to get a dog.
